Snow Light

I walked outside our house this morning and literally was awestruck with how the light was making the snow sparkle. I'm kicking myself now, because that was the time to take photos, but I was running late so it had to wait until later this afternoon.

There's just something magical about fluffy snow covering every branch of a tree, making this leafless season a little less dreary.

I almost begged Andy not to shovel so that it would stay fluffy on our sidewalks, but alas, I'm sure the mailman wouldn't have taken too kindly to that idea.

I'm still getting used to this new lens. The fact that it doesn't zoom means I was walking all crazy in the middle of our road with the eyepiece plastered to my forehead trying to figure out how to properly frame and expose while avoiding getting run over by a minivan. (Mom, don't worry... I didn't get run over.)

How long is too long to leave your Christmas wreath up? I'm assuming because it's still snowing that I haven't lost my window of opportunity. Perhaps I'll wait until Easter to take it down... ;)

Hope you are all having a marvelous Sunday! I'm about to cook my little kitchen into a frenzy with a double batch of lasagna and homemade Italian Herb dinner rolls. Company is a' comin'!
