Fishing.
It has captured this man's heart.
So much so that I find myself competing with this looker:
And this one:
And as if that weren't enough, there are also these massive things in my parent's pond:
If that doesn't make you squirm I don't know what will. But, I gave in one day and tried casting. The first time didn't go so well (I almost took out my brother who was standing behind me), but the second cast I threw in something BIT. AHHH! I don't exactly know why I was expecting anything different, but I certainly wasn't ready for actually catching something! We tried to take a picture but to no avail. It may have been due to my incessant panic and my loud insistence that they hurry up and GET THE HOOK OUT SO IT DOESN'T DIE!!!
I think Andy wants to buy me a purple fishing pole for Christmas.
I actually may not object.
(I can't believe I just said that.)

A couple who fishes together, stays together! :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a little girl I had my own rod and tackle box :) George isn't real into fishing, hunting is more his thing, but I'm pretty sure I won't ever be joining him in the woods.Just cant stomach shooting a living thing...
ReplyDeleteSara - haha! I'll have to keep that one in mind :)
ReplyDeleteErika - thanks for your comment! I think I fished a couple times when I was younger too, but the memories are a bit vague. And oh gosh I totally agree with you - I don't think I could ever shoot anything either. I can't even stomach keeping a fish. I HAVE to let it go!
